At Pepco, safety is our top priority. As part of our commitment to safety, we’re closely monitoring developments related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and taking appropriate precautions to protect the health and safety of our customers, employees, and contractors. At this time, we strongly encourage virtual meetings and any scheduled appointments under the Energy Savings for Business Program will continue only with prior consent from the customer. Participating contractors will follow the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) recommended precautions. Please check back soon for updates.

Quick Energy Check-ups

Program Update

Effective April 1st the Pepco Small Business Program will review applications and place them on a waitlist to be processed and pre-approved. Projects placed on the waitlist are NOT considered pre-approved and funding is NOT guaranteed at this time. Click here for additional information.



Quick Energy Check-ups (QECs) are free to the customer. A Service Provider will visit your business, make recommendations, and install energy-efficient devices.

Some examples are:

  • Turn on electronic devices energy-savings feature.
  • Install signs to turn off lights when not in use.
  • Setting water heater thermostat to 115⁰F–120⁰F.
       *If dishwashing is not a factor
  • Install timers on water coolers.
  • Insulate exposed water heater and refrigerant pipes.
  • Replace worn weather stripping on exterior doors.
  • Reduce air infiltration using caulk and spray foam.

Your Service Provider will install up to $250 worth of these energy-efficient devices at no cost to you.
